New Young Pony Club / "Ice Cream"
They're British, have a female lead singer, and mix electronica and new wave. This song is pretty hot, on the Bliss Pop tip.
Band of Horses / "Funeral"
I think I first heard this song about a year ago (thanks Caroline) but they've souped it up a little for their debut album Everything All the Time. Looks like it's the year of the horse.
I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness / "According to Plan"
ILYBICD first popped on the radar last year with "When You Go Out," and this song follows in that same mold: dark, new wave bass with clean vocals and some nice little synth atmospherics chucked in for good measure. Their debut album Fear Is On Our Side comes out 3/7.
Your Black Star / "Oh Jesus"
Three-piece alt-rock from Louisville. This sounds like music I would have really liked in the late '90s.
Darlings of the Split Screen / "So Beautiful"
British indie three-piece, vocals could use some work but still more than tolerable.

ESPN with a little more in-depth look at the story of the autistic basketball manager. I cannot get enough of this story.

Eli championed the Phat Phree and it's really grown on me. It's like a far more hit-or-miss Onion, but there's some good stuff if you dig around. Some choice stuff:
Seriously, Get This Sweater Off of Me
Look at My Striped Shirt!

The best part about the NBA All-Star game were the pregame intros. Why? Not only did you get Shaq leading the East All-Stars in a vaguely choreographed dance, but the West offered up Yao Ming finishing off an electric slide.
