Hello, Cleveland!

[ 1.27.2006 ]

Been in a new band rut for a couple weeks, but Stereogum comes through today with the Infadels. Their album We Are Not the Infadels is apparently coming out next week in the UK. Like most bands I like, it's kind of danceable rock music--somewhere between Hard-Fi and Kasabian.

The basslines are kind of electronic, so because I'm dumb I can't really tell on some songs if it's a distorted bass or a keyboard or something. Really good vocals though. You can stream songs and watch the video for "Can't Get Enough" on their MySpace page. Their lead singer is short, bald, and has an eyebrow ring and bad teeth. Hmm. Good thing it's all about the music.

The US version of The Office is good. And sometimes that makes me forget how much better the British version is...until I see something like this.

Latest trailers:

Click - David Hasselhof + Adam Sandler + Kate Beckinsale = money. And you can't argue with Tears for Fears.

You, Me and Dupree - I doubt I'll see this in the theaters, but Owen Wilson being Owen Wilson is always worthwhile in my book.

Dirty - Kind of Training Day-ish without the token white guy. Features Rod Tidwell as well as the guy who played Perry Smith in Capote. Turns out he was also Frankie Flowers in Traffic.
