Speaking of cars, here's a study about how cars affect first dates. My main reaction to this is to wonder who the fuck makes their date chip in for gas/tolls? And then I realized I know Mike Torto (I'm going to find out pretty soon if Mike actually reads this stuff).

Bogut to the rack

It's hard to quantify the level of excitement I have right now for the Bucks. TJ is back and had a player-of-the-week start to the year. Bogut is the truth. Redd has been lights-out. Simmons is a stud. You gotta love it.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is back. I think I bitched in this space about how the first episode of the year kind of sucked, but they've rebounded in a big way since then. Some of the funniest episodes in the show's somewhat long history.

I obviously try to listen to tons of music, and perhaps because of this I've become extremely impatient...even when I'm just sitting around at work or driving I frequently can't listen to a song I like all the way through. And so needless to when listening to new music I tend to judge stuff quickly and don't often let it, uh, like marinate or whatever. Anyway, some of my favorite bands I initially dismissed, among them Interpol and the Rapture. But that's why I have Mulley and Nina I guess.

Anyway, a previous Nina favorite has made some long-overdue strides recently: Dungen. I saw them perform "Panda" on Conan recently, where I also finally received confirmation as to how their name is pronounced: DOON-gehn. CD purchase is imminent.

The highlight of the NFL season so far? We have a winner! If these girls are smart they will find a way to get very rich off this...think about it, people. As a sidenote, I think Renee could do better for herself.
