Dungen: they sound like they look
So I bought Dungen's Ta Det Lugnt and it's pretty excellent. The latter half is pretty trippy, made me think of Meddle-era Pink Floyd, but the first half has more straight-forward stuff in the same vein as the aforementioned "Panda." Check out a directory with the album HERE. My two new faves:
Dungen / "Festival"
Dungen / "Ta Det Lugnt"
nb: I believe the album spelling ("lungt") in this directory is incorrect

The DFA79 remix album Romance Bloody Romance is out soon, and here's a story about DFA and their latest exploits.

You can listen to the latest stuff from Jesse Keeler and Al-P here, they've got the first track from their MSTRKRFT LP up now--sounds like the last Daft Punk disc, if it hadn't sucked so much.
The remixes I've heard are good but certainly not as good as the original versions:
DFA79 / "Sexy Results [MSTRKRFT Edition]" (from Scenestars)
DFA79 / "Little Girl [MSTRKRFT Edition]" (from Rock Insider)

Here's the second of the SNL Jeffreys' sketches. I think this video represents everything that was good and bad about the Will Ferrell era.

So Napoleon Dynamite impressions are pretty played out by now, but I think this one really works...it's from the Wisconsin-Penn State game a few weeks ago. Pretty good impression given the lion costume and all.
