Hello, Cleveland!

Salon always has nice links, and they're updated daily. In general, Salon amuses me because it just seems so tailor-made for liberal hipster-cum-yuppies from the Ivy League.

What Made Milwaukee Famous / "Idecide"
Too weird and technologically-advanced to actually be from Milwaukee. Actually from the far more futuristic Austin, TX.

Cartel de Santa
/ "Blah Blah Blah"
Twangy. Spanish. Low in cholesterol. If I had one of those classic ghettocruisers with the hydraulics I would bump this shit, right before I parked my ride on my cousin's lawn.

Brendan Benson / "Alternative to Love"
A bouncing, catchy little alt-rock number from a guy who I've heard mentioned a lot but never listened to. It's got the type of ambling bassline that I am a sucker for. Apparently he used to be buds with Beck until Mr. Hansen tried to convert him to Scientology.

Magnolia Electric Company / "The Dark Don't Hide It"
A band named to sound like an electric utility? Now there's something I can get behind. Kind of like Wilco and Ryan Adams. In other words, if you have good taste in music but also get a hard-on when you see an American flag, this shit's for you.

Innaway / "Threathawk"
If you don't like full calorie BRMC, this is for you. Drony, bluesy, but most definitely performed by white guys whose haircuts prevent them from employment in a white collar job. I feel like the end would make for a good soundtrack to anything occurring on a dark, foggy pier.
