Interesting and helpful tidbit about CBS' coverage of March Madness which we stumbled upon this weekend: the CBS high-def channel often shows a different game than the regular CBS channel, so if you don't like the tourney game they're showing, try the HD channel. You don't need HD to watch it, though it's formatted for a widescreen TV and is actually crisper looking even on a non-HD flatscreen.
Basically, the HD channel doesn't change games, so they pick one game and then show it in its entirety, whereas the regular channel jumps around. Anyway, I didn't know this before, so there you go...

Slate always has very interesting stuff (as long as you're not conservative). I'll add them to the links at some point. For now, check out a couple interesting articles:
Why Bankers Are Like Dogs
Herbert Allen, president of the investment banking firm of Allen & Co. Inc., famously noted that "over a long weekend, I could teach my dog to be an investment banker."
The Terry Schiavo Roundup
Basic questions about the case answered.

It's different over there.

As noted by Torr and others, somebody has posted the entire new, New Order lp, Waiting For the Siren's Call. I thought "Krafty" was pretty good and the title track also solid, but the first two songs are probably the best--the kind of driving, guitar and bass assault yet still digestable stuff you come to expect of the elder statesman of indie-alt-electro-pop.
New Order / "Lordsy"
New Order / "Road to Ruin"

Check out some nice Will Ferrell/SNL clips here. My favorite is probably the "Old Prospector" clip.

DFA79 on Conan. Not only do they play Romantic Rights, but they have a surprise guest join them in the middle of the song. Fucking cool.

A long trailer for the forthcoming Star Wars movie is up. Actually looks like it will be good.

I bought the new Daft Punk cd Human After All because despite the very mediocre reviews which have been coming out for it, I've always liked DP and some of the leaked stuff sounded good. The best song, "Human After All," I'd put up there with some of DP's best. So imagine my surprise when I bought the album and found out the title track was *not* the song I really liked.
So here's what seems to have happened...DP leaked some "fake" songs on the internet to throw people off the scent, including the aforementioned "Human After All," which is dancier and better than anything on the album. I've been looking around and nothing seems to suggest they're other people's songs, or what the real titles might be, so there you go. Way to stick it to the man, Tom and Guy....
