So after I started bringing in my Dewzers to work, other people started feeling the vibe and now there are at least five people (out of 30) who are consistently reaching for the Confewzer when they need a beverage. I've made my mark. Today I busted some more out of our closet where we keep all the soda and I noticed the tops of the cans were dirty. Here's a tip: if you think using handsoap to clean off a soda can top will get it clean, it will. If you you think water will then be able to remove the handsoap from the top of the can, it won't. No matter how much I rinsed and wiped, the fucking taste of soap wouldn't go away. Then I thought I'd pour the soda into a cup. Maybe it's just the aluminum that's keeping the soap taste. Guess what? The fucking cup bubbled up all over the place. I had suds in my fucking Dew. It was one huge catastrophe.

It seems every show I've ever gone to, there's inevitably one person in the front row who seems like they made a wrong turn somewhere and then couldn't figure out how to leave. Tonight it was this little 60-year old dude with huge glasses. That doesn't top the BRMC show, though. No, that was far more awkward, because at that show there was a lollipop-sucking mentally handicapped girl who spent the 10 minutes before the show acting like she was talking on her cellphone (she had it to her ear, but never said anything, just spun around constantly as though she was looking for someone). She was also wearing a Buffalo Sabres jersey. Why? I haven't the faintest idea. Then during the show she plowed through this couple in front of her so she could rest prop herself up on some of the equipment, prompting security to repeatedly ask her to step back. The weirdest part was when she started making "I love you" gestures to the drummer. The band did their best to ignore her. Very awkward.

I dabbled in color and black and white. My camera doesn't have much zoom, so you know we were close.
The Stills' show was a really good time--Nina, Rosa and David also went, which is rare since normally I just go alone. Nina and I also loved the openers, Ratatat, whom Mulley linked me to yesterday. Check out a couple sample songs on their website. Very different sound--just two guys playing guitar and bass (some keyboard thrown in), no vocals, and backed by breakbeats and more keyboard effects. I was surprised how much I got into it.
