I'm not counting myself among the converted or anything, but I have to give Ryan Adams some credit--his new album Rock 'n Roll is good. Some of the album's reviews allude to his penchant for jumping around stylistically, and I'd say that's a fair assessment; the best song is "So Alive," which sounds like it was lifted off a mid-'80s U2 record.

The best lyrics have to be on "Wish You Were Here":
