I feel like one of the cool things to do is talk about your favorite HBO show...you know, The Sopranos (guys) or Sex and the City (girls...but it's actually pretty good stuff). I always thought it was kind of BS because I never had HBO and figured most other people didn't either, so it bothered me when shows that I could never watch would win Emmys and shit. That's how I've felt about Sex and the City, The Sopranos, and most recently Curb Your Enthusiasm.
So now I do have HBO (all 15 of them, plus Starz and Showtime), and I gotta say I am seeing the light. Curb Your Enthusiasm is fucking great...there's something very put-on about the whole thing, like it's Larry David's big inside joke, which it is, but I find it makes me laugh a lot. PLUS, with Comcast's "On Demand" shit you can watch tons of HBO stuff whenever you want. I discovered the show The Mind of the Married Man today, watched five episodes and wish it hadn't have been cancelled after one season. Fuckers.
The only movies I've seen over the past month were both great (in completely different ways): Kill Bill and School of Rock.
I never thought I'd say this, but in a lot of ways Parachutes is a better album than A Rush of Blood to the Head.
