Hello, Cleveland!

The world according to Lindsay, chapter 37: When referring to someone's abnormally large head, it's proper to use the word "dome" but not the word "melon."

Here's something that bothers me. Or shall I say, "bothers" me. Perhaps you've seen the commercials for the Right Guard powerstripe and power caplets (or whatever they're called) deodorants. These deodorants have some sort of green stuff (either a stripe down the middle or little green things in the gel) in them that contain extra odor protection. OK, so why don't they make the whole friggin' stick out of this green stuff if it's so good?

In the same vein of whining about ads, I'm not a big fan of Toyota's new Camry ads. These are the ones where the guy goes tearing around an abandoned city in his Camry (complete with lame little spoiler), doing snow angels on the freeway and shit. I just don't think people who want sports cars are the people buying Camrys, so why sell them like that? The people buying Camrys don't care if their car is fast or can be used to do doughnuts...they just want a really well built car, good gas mileage (which Toyota to their credit has another ad about), and no hassle. So I guess maybe they're going after a new market (people who want cool cars), but they clearly don't build them for those buyers.

On the other hand, Nissan and Mitsubishi have great commercials. The Nissan Z commercials are very impressive, especially the one where they show people staring at something, and only at the end show a great sideshot of the new Z. OK, back off the soapbox.
