Will Ferrell was announced today as our class day speaker--in other words, the day before commencement (when some old distinguished white dude speaks) the entire senior class comes together and hears something a little fresher, often funnier than normal. In 2001 Conan (class of '85) spoke, 2002 it was Bono, and last year Al Franken '73 spoke. Needless to say, I'm a huge Will fan so this is really cool.

I think I may have found a new band. Well, not a band. I'd heard of Liz Phair before but I went to her website and the previews of tracks on her forthcoming album (May 20) sound really good. Think Avril Lavigne with just enough Aimee Mann to be both upbeat AND musically legitimate.
