Happy Easter. I saw Nirgendwo in Afrika/Nowhere in Africa today. Really amazing movie. I went with Ishan and Ruthy because we were supposed to see it for our graduate German cinema class. Really beautiful cinematography, even though it wasn't the typical sweeping-landscapes-behold-the-African-wilderness type deal. The movie won this year's Oscar for best Foreign Film, and tells the story of German Jews who emigrate to Kenya during the war. Definitely check it out on DVD whenever it comes out...
